Aarambam Movie Review

The much awaited film of Ultimate Star Ajith Kumar’s Aarambam hit the screen on Thursday. Director Vishnuvardhan directed the movie taking the inspiration of terror attacked took place in Mumbai.


The successful team of Billa that has Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara, Vishnuvardhan and Yuvanshankar Raja team up again for Aarambam.

Story and Performace

The movie starts with the bomb blast in Mumbai. Ajith appears as Ashok Kumar who is the man behind the bomb blast. Arya (Arjun) is a hacker. Ashok Kumar kidnaps Arya and force him to join his plan and help with hacking. Nayanthara appears as Maya who work along with Ajith Kumar. Taapsee appears as Anitha who is the girlfriend of Arya and an aspiring TV journalist.


Arya is threatened by Ajith that if he did not accept to work with him, he would kill Anitha. They successfully bring down the server of a company by hacking. Kishore who act as cop trace and catches them.

There comes another flashback that shows Ajith Kumar’s past life in Anti Terrorist Squad with Rana Daggubati. Ajith and Vishnuvardhan are back with yet another pulsating and stylish action entertainer.

Ajith is back with his salt and pepper look. He looks so young and charming in the movie. Ajith’s costumes are chosen so carefully so that he looks stunning throughout the movie. The way Aijth says “Tik.. Tok.. Tik.. Tok…” and the way he stares at an officer for holding his hand got great response from the audience.


Vishnuvardhan knows what people like in Ajith and how to extract the best from him. He has written the screenplay in such a way that Ajith impress plenty of his fans. Ducati bike ride, racy boat chase and the climax was so impressive. Vishnuvardhan took the concept of Mumbai terror attack and made a little tribute for the fighters who lost their lives in the attack.

Arya plays a serious role in the movie. His dialogues made some giggles here and there in the film. The flashback in the second half of the movie was little boring. But soon after the flashback the movie goes in its usual phase.

Taapsee has only limited sequence in the film. Nayanthara who got a meatier role in the movie used it very well. Other actors like Rana, Kishore, Atul Kulkarni and Krishna fit their roles perfectly.
