How to Make Pizza at Home?

Pizza is the all time favorite snack for a party evening or say on a relaxing get together gathering for kids as well as adults. Every time when you want to taste a pizza you don’t need to dial Dominos and Pizza Hut. You can easily make a pizza of your own taste in microwave either with a readymade pizza base or a homemade pizza base. But make sure that you have a convection microwave oven to make the pizza. All you need to have is the essential ingredients and the idea of what toppings you can make in your pizza. Even though readymade pizza base is often available in all supermarkets it’s tastier to make the pizza base at home. It adds the flavor and texture to the pizza unlike the readymade pizza base.

How to Make Pizza at Home?

INGRDIENT:

FOR THE PIZZA BASE:

  1. Yeast- 1 tsp
  2. All purpose floor (Maida) -160 gms
  3. Olive oil- 2 tbsp
  4. Luke warm water- 60 gm
  5. Salt to taste

FOR THE TOPPINGS:

  1. Tomato ( cut in circular shape)
  2. Capsicum in variety of colors ( red, green, yellow)
  3. Onion ( cut in circular shape)
  4. Baby corn ( split into two in the middle)(optional)
  5. Mozzarella cheese
  6. Olive oil
  7. Red pepper
  8. Salt
  9. Oregano seasoning (optional)
  10. Tomato sauce

PREPARING THE PIZZA DOUGH:

Add the yeast to 30ml of water in a bowl and mix it thoroughly and leave the mixture aside. Take the all purpose flour in a vessel. Sieve the all purpose flour and add salt and yeast mixture to the flour. Start making the dough by adding little water at regular interval of time in between the kneading. This way you can prepare a soft dough. Once you are satisfied with your dough and you think it is ready, prepare the dough for fermentation. Grease a big bowl well with oil. Take the dough and grease it with the oil in the vessel. Close the vessel with a lid and leave it for fermentation. It will generally take 1 hr in room temperature (30 degree). If it’s a winter season it will take more time. After that you can see that the dough would have doubled in size confirming the completion of fermentation process. Now you have to roll the dough with a diameter of approximately 9 inches and thickness of ½ inch.

Now take a circular shaped baking dish and grease it with oil. Now place the rolled dough in the baking dish.

PRE-HEATING THE OVEN:

You have to pre-heat the oven for better baking effects. Pre-heat the oven on a temperature of 200 degree Celsius. It takes hardly 5 minutes. In the mean time we can prepare the toppings.

PREPARING THE TOPPINGS:

Your pizza is nearly ready now except for the toppings. You simply have to add the ingredients you have kept ready for toppings. You have two options. First one is to add the veggies first and then add the grated Mozzarella cheese. Second way is to add the cheese first followed by the cheese. First you make a few cuts all over the pizza base slightly with a knife. This will help the cheese to enter the insides of the pizza base. First spread the tomato sauce all over base leaving the corners. Then add the tomato rings, capsicum cuttings, onion and baby corn. Add required salt. Add olive oil. Then add the grated cheese. Add more cheese if you want to enjoy double dhamaka. Now the pizza is ready to bake. Keep the prepared pizza in the oven. Activate the convection mode. Set the temperature to 200 degrees. Bake the pizza for 20 minutes.

Now take the pizza pan outside using a microwave gloves with care. Now your yummy-tummy cheesy pizza is ready to taste. Cut into pieces and serve with tomato sauce and red chili flakes. You can also use oregano seasoning.

You can even try with toppings like mushroom and paneer.
