Kolkata, April 25 : People rushed out of homes as tremors were felt in Kolkata and other districts in West Bengal on Saturday.
The tremors were also felt in Howarh and Hooghly districts.
Schools and offices were vacated after the tremors were felt at 11.41 a.m. which lasted for over a minute.
An aftershock was also felt at 12.19 p.m.
The epicentre of the earthquake is said to be at Lamjung in Nepal.
Reports received from Siliguri said that tremors were also felt in northern West Bengal.
