It is true that fruits are a good way to replace junk food and high-calorie snacks. But is it true that there is a restriction that fruits should not be consumed before going to bed or at night?
The best time to eat fruits is between meals as they do not cause acidity or burning sensation in the stomach and heart due to the citrus nature of the fruits. Fruits such as apple, pomegranate do not normally cause any discomfort when consumed anytime during the day or night as they are not acidic in nature. So apples are said to be the best snack during any time of the day.

Especially heart patients, people suffering from diabetes etc. should avoid taking the fruits at night as it can cause acidity or the excess formation of glucose. It is best to avoid fruits by people with stomach disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome or acid reflux.
It is a well-known fact that fruits are good for health and should be consumed by everyone. If some fruits cause discomfort, they should be taken in a limited quantity or should be taken between meals in order to avoid discomfort and to enjoy all the goodness of fruits.
