Legendary Tamil director K Balachander died in private hospital at Chennai on Tuesday. He was admitted in hospital few days back for fever and urinary tract infection. He was given treatment and his fever was under control. But, urinary tract infection was severe and reported that he was dead at evening 7 pm on Tuesday.
Tamil director K Balachander also called as ‘Iyakunar Sigaram’ has directed more than 150 films. He was known for his unique style of film making. Also, he has introduced ace actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Prakash Raj in his films and gave them a first break.
Most popular films of Balachander are Aval Ora Thodar Kathai, Apoorva Raagangal, Avargal, Varumayin Niram Sigappu and 47 Natkal. He also worked in Bollywood for the hit film Ek Duuje Ke Liye featuring Kamal Haasan and Rati Agnihotri.
When Balachander was admitted in the hospital both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan meet him in person and hoped for fast recovery. Hearing the death of Balachander many celebrities expressed deep and heartfelt condoles for his death. Ace director Balachander dies at the age of 84.
