Delhi gangrape : Convicts seek Hindi translation

Mukesh Singh, Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma and Pawan Gupta, the convicts of Delhi gangrape on 16 December are in a death row. Among the four convicts of the Delhi gangrape case, two of them seek Hindi translation of certain documents and court orders.

Two of the accused, Mukesh and Pawan moved an application before the High Court of Delhi on Monday asking for Hindi translation of the case documents.

A bench of Justice Reva Khetrapal and Pratibha Rani was hearing the trail court’s reference for confirming the death sentence of the accused.

The counsel for Mukesh Singh and Pawan Gupta, Advocate M L Sharma said that he has filed “proforma appeal” on behalf of his clients. He also stated that they are under objection since certain documents are not yet annexed. He has also moved an application asking for Hindi translation of FIR, charge sheet, evidence, judgment of September 10 and sentence order of September 13.
