ISRO (Indian Space Research organization ) announces the recruitment – 2013 for the post of scientist and engineer. The eligibility criteria, age limit, apply mode, and details are below.
Eligibility: B.E/B.Tech candidates who have passed in the first class and secured aggregate minimum of 65% are eligible . The final year appearing candidates can also apply provided the final degree is awarded by 31.8.2013.
Age limit: Candidate should be less than or equal to 35 years as on 04-03-2013. Ex-serviceman and Persons with Disabilities are applicable as per age relaxation by Government.
How to apply: Applicants can register only through go for online mode from the ISRO website from 12-02-2013 to 04-03-2013. Candidates who are to apply can click the link and continue the registration. www.isro.gov. After the registration process online registered unique ID will be generated which should be carefully preserved for further references
Payment of fees: Women; Scheduled Castes (SC); Scheduled Tribes (ST); Ex-serviceman [EX] and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee. However they need to register online and get the registered ID. The candidates from the ex-empted category need to send the proof online.
Applicants have to pay the fees of amount Rs.100/- for each application. After registering, applicants need to download the personalized challan form. Fees can be paid in any state banks near your area. The other part of challan (ISRO copy) should be sent to the below address within the 7 days of filling. to Sr. Administrative Officer (ICRB), ISRO Headquarters, Antariksh Bhavan, New BEL Road, Bangalore -560 094 by post superscribing on the envelope “ICRB – RECRUITMENT OF SCIENTIST/ENGINEER ‘SC’”.
Selection Process: Not all the candidates who are said to be eligible by the above said criteria can attend the written rest. The ISRO recruitment drive will short list the applicants for written exam based on the bio data and academic performance.
Test Centers: 10 Available exam centers are Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. Applicants can choose any one of these centers according to their convenience.
