The magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’ directed by Sanjay Leela which is set for grand opening in all the theatres tomorrow is facing trouble in Pakistan. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) of Pakistan has denied giving no objection certificate to the movie.
The film is about the life of Maratha warrior king ‘Bajirao Peshwa’. Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
Mobasher Hasan, the chairman of CBFC stated that Hindi films cannot be released as per their ordinance. Also he added that the film is indirectly against the Islam and Muslims as the movie depicts the relationship between Bajirao and his Muslim wife Mastani. There are rumors that the reason for the denial of no objection certificate is because of certain dialogues and intimate scenes. But Hasan has confirmed that those were just rumors and not real reasons.
