No Cleanliness in Railways – CAG Reports of Complaints

No sufficient cleanliness and hygiene maintained in the main railways stations in the country, Says Federal Audit Department. Reports disclosed say that Railways Board Guidelines are not implemented properly. The report has pointed out about the insect harassment in the 2nd and AC compartments. Complaints continue to rise and passengers are completely dissatisfied with the food provided.

It is said that the food is not supplied by following the Food Adulteration Prevention Guidelines. It is noted in the report that no enough latrines and toilets in trains and most of them are left unclean and non-hygienic. Passengers also complains of No Dust Bins are seen on at railway station platforms.

Clean drinking water system is also not maintained well and rail passengers are at great inconvenience, the report said.This Complaints report is disclosed after conducting the research from the railway stations of 17 regions in the country in the field of Audit Information from the rail passengers.
