The supporters of Gandhian Sasiperumal informed that Sasiperumal will withdraw his Fasting Strike by today evening. Gandhian Sasiperumal has been fasting for more than 30 days from January 30th of 2013. The supporters of Gandhian Sasiperumal said that the fasting of Sasiperumal will end this evening.
Sasiperumal started his hunger strike insisting the government to prohibit alcohol completely in the state near Gandhi Statue. He was arrested for causing nuisance to the public and later released. Many leaders of political parties showed their support to Sasiperumal and asked him to quit fasting since his health condition was worsening. But, Sasiperumal objected to do so.
In this case, he was forcibly taken to the hospital by the police officers yesterday evening. Thol.Thirumavalavan, President of ‘Viduthalai Siruthaigal’ Party, denounced the act of police in this regard. Sasiperumal was forcefully admitted in the hospital yesterday and he is taking treatment in Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital. The supporters of Gandhian Sasiperumal said, Sasiperumal would withdraw his fasting this evening. They also pointed out that, this is a temporary withdrawal.
