Serial blasts in Patna, 5 dead, IM hand suspected

A possible trail has been revealed in the serial blasts that ripped through Patna on Sunday leaving 5 dead leading to the terror group Indian Mujahideen (IM).


Shortly before Narendra Modi’s address before a huge gathering, these bombs went off in and around the venue of ‘Hunkar rally’ at Gandhi Maidan.

Timers were also used in the bombs which exploded between 9:30 am and 11:45 am and a total of 83 were injured.

A crude bomb went off couple of hours prior to the six multiple explosions. The crude bomb went off in a toilet at Platform 10 at the Patna railway station. This incident happened 2 Km from the venue BJP’s ‘Hunkar rally’ of the party’s prime ministerial candidate.

The police said that three suspects, one fleeing from the blast at the railway station, appearing to be the prime suspect, have been detained from Ranchi and Patna.

The suspect, Imtiyaz who was held fleeing at Patna railway station, has claimed that Indian Mujahideen (IM) operative Yasin Bhatkal’s aide Monu supplied the explosives that were used in Patna serial blasts. Monu’s role is also suspected in Bodh Gaya blasts.
