Mumbai: Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Judwaa 2’ is doing wonders at the Indian box office as well as overseas. The weekend collection of the film stands Rs 77.25 crore and it has become the second highest movie of the actor in 2017.
Filmmaker David Dhawan has recreated the magic with his son Varun and the film is getting the positive response at the box office.
The first-day box office collection of ‘Judwaa 2’ is the fourth highest just behind Baahubali 2, Raees and Tubelight. The movie has opened on a higher note and crossed Rs 50 crore mark in the opening weekend.
The film minted Rs 18 crore on Monday, thus making the total of Rs 77.25 crore.
‘Judwaa 2’ is the reprised version of the 1997 Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha starrer Judwaa.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter on Tuesday and wrote, “#Judwaa2 crosses ₹ 75 cr mark… Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr. Total: ₹ 77.25 cr. India biz. OUTSTANDING!”
Also, the movie is doing exceptionally well in overseas.
Directed by David Dhawan, Judwaa 2 also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles.
‘Judwaa 2’ is made on a budget of Rs 80 crore and it released on September 29.
